r. & Mrs. F.W. Nieburg began in the funeral business in 1903 when they joined the Ordelheide Funeral Home. In 1905 they purchased the business and 1912 moved into a three story building housing the Nieburg Furniture Co. In 1935, Mr. & Mrs. John F. Nieburg became partners with his father. They were later joined by Mr. & Mrs. Jan Herlinger in 1940. In 1951, the business was moved to 510 East Main in a new funeral home where it was known as F.W. Nieburg Funeral Home. John & Doris Nieburg purchased Mr. & Mrs. Herlinger's ownership in 1962. They operated the business until 1969 when it was sold to Paul Funeral Home's Inc.
On June 1, 1987, the business was purchased by Danny & Frances Martin and operated the business as the Nieburg-Martin Funeral Home.
Danny & Fran were very involved in the community and members of many organizations. Danny took great pride in serving the families of Warren County.
Sadly, in July of 2005, Danny lost his battle with cancer. He is greatly loved and missed by his family, his staff and the community.
